Mr. David Bourland, 68 of Phoenix, Arizona died March 16, 2023. He was born October 5, 1954 in Phoenix, Arizona to Frank and Joyce Bourland. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers Terry and Richard, and sisters Donna and Phyllis.
David was an Arizona native and lived in Phoenix his whole life. He graduated from Cortez High School. He married the love of his life, Aggie Wallace, in January of 1976. Together, they raised their daughters, Amy and Alyson. David loved his family; his proudest accomplishment was his family legacy.
David had four dogs – two at the office and two at home. He loved all sports, as long as the team was from Arizona. He also enjoyed golfing and attending NASCAR races. David was known as a hard worker who was always helping others. He was reliable, caring, generous, and loyal. He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. But he was also sensitive and had integrity.
David is survived by his wife of 47 years, Agnes “Aggie” (nee Wallace) Bourland, daughters Amy Bourland and Alyson (Kegan) Bourland Dessenberger, sisters Linda Bourland, Nancy (Bruce) Bullock, and Martha (Fernando) Castillo, and brothers Mark (Diane) Bourland and Robert Bourland. He is also survived by nine grandchildren: Gabriel Escudero, Alyna Charles, Christopher Bourland, Jorden Charles, Xavier Bourland, Dominick Bourland, Raelynn Bourland, Austin Dessenberger, and Kallen Dessenberger, as well as numbers nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.
A visitation will be held at Thompson Funeral Chapel beginning at 9AM on Saturday, April 15. The memorial service will begin at 11:30 followed by a procession to Estrella Mountain Park for a Celebration of Life from 2 to 5pm.
