Corprice Nicole Thomas

Corprice Nicole Thomas was born on Saturday, May 12, 1979 to Tewana Enat Sullivan. Corprice spent much of her childhood with her beloved great grandmother Mama Cassie in Toledo, Ohio. From the very beginning she was always a very strong sister! Corprice had a very well known bold personality. She may have been very small but she was the boss! As the eldest of five, Corprice always looked after her siblings and held the family together. In 1988 Tewana married Sherwin Sullivan, adopting Corprice and established the family in Pontiac, Michigan.

Corprice attended Pontiac and Waterford school districts obtaining her diploma and later her degree. Corprice dedicated her career to the medical field as a cardiovascular technician for the VA hospital. As her best friend, Pam would say, “Corprice was like a fierce cat! No matter how many times she fell, she always landed on her feet!” Always dreaming of the perfect homestead she was known for packing up the truck and family and establishing herself in a new state. This beautiful queen finally attained her dream lifestyle and career in Phoenix, AZ.

Corprice is survived by her parents, Sherwin and Tewana Enat Sullivan (Thomas); children, Demaaj Trenae Thomas, Elijah Bruce-Brown Thomas, Immanuel Mark-Jones Thomas, Aalonna Symone Thomas; grandchildren, Darius Lamar Whetstone, Micheal Anthony Russell, III (aka Butter); siblings, Andrew Kerry Fuqua, II, Jéonnay Effie Sullivan, Christmas-Angel Janna Sullivan, D’Angelo Prince Sullivan; grandparents, George and Essie Arnett (Adams), James Thomas; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and best friends including Elston and Tracy Beal (Thomas), Rashaad Thomas, Imani Thomas, James Thomas II, Phillip Arnett, Geneva Phillips (Orr), Mahlon and Pam Orr, and Cicely Kaiser. She was preceded in death by her grandfather/mother Percy Sullivan and Dorothy Rena Buckner (Sullivan), Uncle Terry (Sonny-Man) Sullivan, great-grandmother Cassie Robinson; great-grandfather/mother Robert (Big Daddy) and Louise Adams, and great-great-grandmother Effie Lawrence.

A Homegoing Celebration will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, September 22, 2017 at The Chapel of Cobb’s Funeral Home, 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan 48341.  Arrangements are under the direction of Thompson Funeral Chapel and Cobb's Funeral Home.

Another part of understanding, another part of taking a chance, another part of an experience, another part of gain and loss, another part of sacrifice – you sacrifice yourself for birth, you sacrifice yourself for death, you sacrifice yourself for life and live to learn that every moment is the happiest day of your life. So my favorite super hero just wasn’t another mother or daughter or friend…she was another person, another part of a person…another part of me.”
