Charles E. Stewart, 78, of Goodyear, AZ died December 29, 2011 in Peoria, AZ. He was born March 8, 1933 in Indianapolis, IN to Charles and Travana Stewart. Charles moved to Arizona in 1998. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a supervisor for John Deere in the Parts Distribution Center in Illinois. He was a member of Sacred Heart in Moline, IL and St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Goodyear, AZ.
Charles is survived by his wife Mary Alice (Lee) Stewart; his daughter Elaine R. Stewart; his sons Charles A. and Michael D. Stewart; and 6 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8pm Monday, January 2, 2012 at Thompson’s Valley West Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Rd., Goodyear, AZ, with Mass being celebrated Tuesday, January 3 at 10am at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 539 E. La Pasada Ave., Goodyear, AZ. A memorial service is taking place in Moline, IL on January 12, 2012 at 10am at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow in the Alexis Cemetery, IL.
