Charles Montgomery

 He was born in Belleville, Illinois on March 7, 1958, the son of Al and Alladean Montgomery.

 He was a 1976 graduate of Agua Fria Union High School. Charlie’s occupation was a truck driver, however his true passion was the life of a cowboy.

 Charlie moved to Goodyear, Arizona in 1965 with his parents.  At the age of 18, Charlie married Lisa Montgomery-Beckham. Together they had two children, Jamie and Charles Jr..  Charlie and Lisa divorced after 24 years of marriage but have always remained friends. Although Charlie moved serveral times, he stayed in the west valley until two years ago when he moved to Northern Arizona with his companion, Kathy “Red” McBride. Charlie and Kathy have been together for 11 years.

 He is survived by two children, Jamie Shiple and her husband Jeff of Goodyear, Arizona, and Charles “C.J.” Montgomery Jr. and his wife Christine, his 4 grandchildren, Clayton Landers, Aubrey, Alyssa, and Caylee Montgomery, and his sister Sally Estrada.

 Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; Al R. Montgomery Sr. and Alladean Montgomery; and his brother, Al Montgomery Jr.

 Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 01, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. located at Lighthouse Fellowship, 3015 N. Jackrabbit Trail, Buckeye, Arizona 85326. Graveside Services will immediately follow at Louis B. Hazelton Cemetery in Buckeye. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Elk’s Lodge in Buckeye, Arizona after graveside services.

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Millennium High School Future Farmers of America (FFA) in memory of Charles Earl Montgomery Sr.
