We did not know Javin but we know how much Sierra, Russell, Giovanni and Rita loved him. Our Condolences go out to his family. We are very sorry for your loss.

Dear Javin - I first met you and your sister when y’all were like 7-8 and 4-5 years old.  You both quickly stole my heart and I enjoyed watching you grow up to be the loving and gracious adults you turned out to be.  Once we moved back to Texas, I was glad that we were able to stay connected.  Your Texas family has always loved you, Sierra, Johna and our other Casillas family members.  Please know that you will always be in our hearts, along with your dad, Uncle Paul, Nana and Grandpa Casillas.    

We love you always and you are so very missed, dear nephew!  Your Auntie Connie (one of the 3 Texas Roses).

Javin was a kind soul big big heart. He was such gentleman to all he met. He loved his parents and sister so much. He will be so missed and treasured in our hearts. He is on the wings of angels now.

Dearest Cousin Javin, 

My most treasured, cherished  childhood memories all trace back to those days at our grandparents house where the cousins would run around carefree and happy as we would torture and tease each other (in a good way of course!).  We grew from Easter egg hunts, birthday parties , riding bikes and playing hide and seek to movies, the mall and music.  You liked Motley Crue and I liked New  Kids on the Block (still do lol ) . You would tease me for liking them and make fun of their music   But one Christmas you gave me a present and when I unwrapped it ….I couldn’t believe it.  It was a poster of my favorite New Kid…Donnie Wahlberg.  That is just so you Javin ….thoughtful, caring , generous from the time we were kids.  And let’s talk about your cooking! Those meals you made for family gatherings ….I can still taste the pork roast with plum sauce you made that one a Christmas Eve.  But my most favorite …:was when you would make Grandpa Forgey’s pineapple cheesecake …..you are the only one who could make it as good as he did.  It broke my heart when your mom told me you were going to make me one when we had planned on getting together in December.  Last year when I was in Alaska ….I just kept thinking of you . It was pure , free , natural beauty , respect for the environment and animals…..all that you are and all that you stood for.  You made this world a better place and your name and legacy will live on through your mother , Patrick , your sister who loves you so much , Russell and your beautiful nephew and niece who adored their “Uncle Jay”.  Inside joke between you me and Sierra ….I giggled when you “scolded “ Sierra for not telling me about the freeway closures last May for Rita’s birthday party ….,because you remember all those years back  how I always got lost and was too scared to drive  on the freeway and would make you all come out and pick me up !!!  
Thank you for being my cousin.  I am sure you are with our dads fishing on a boat. Love you always -your cousin Rachel

Javin Ramon Casillas. A beautiful man inside and out. If you knew him, you were blessed. I remember when he was born. My mom was so excited to see her newest grandchild. She dragged me out of bed to go to the hospital. Honestly  I was excited too. 
 I have always been a proud Auntie. His smile could light up a room. 
Then he grew up to be an amazing cook. My son would come home after eating with Javin and Johna and tell me what Javin cooked.
 Javin and my son became best friends, even though they were 17 years apart. 
I love you my sweet handsome nephew Javin. 
Give my love to my brothers and mom and dad.

The best brother one could have!  Always there for me!  A caring and loving soul! So talented! Thanks for being the best Uncle to my kids! There will always be a void without you but I promise you brother I will take care of your niece and nephew. My only comfort is that you’re with dad now but I still wish you were here! I love you!
