Avner Karnes (Av to his friends) went home to be with the Lord on March 21, 2015. He was born in Arkansas, but grew up on the high plains on a ranch in Colorado near Matheson. Av spent many happy years in the car business with Ford Lincoln Mercury. He lived for the last sixteen years in PebbleCreek, Arizona. He loved everything about the desert – the heat, the abundant sunshine, and the land. He dedicated his life to his family and to his Lord. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Alene; daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Jeff Burdic; two grandchildren, Amanda and Andrew Burdic, along with Andrew’s wife, Chelsea. He is also survived by his brother Richard and his family of Fountain Hills, Arizona. He is dearly beloved and will be missed greatly by all those who knew and loved him. A memorial service will be held at Eagle’s Nest at the PebbleCreek Church meeting site. The celebration of his life will begin at 11 AM Wednesday, March 25th.
