Aura Anderson

Mrs. Aura Anderson, 84, of Goodyear, AZ passed away June 12, 2014 in Goodyear, AZ.  She was born August 6, 1929 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico to Manuel Delsin Ruiz and America Del Tilar Guzman.  Aura, our beloved mother of six and wife to Robert of 61 years was a very kind and gentle soul. She had a loving and generous heart, with an unwavering faith in Jesus her Lord and Savior. Aura was always willing to give to others; whether it was some of her amazing cooking, a listening ear, or that little bit of inspiration that we needed to hear. She had a wonderful smile that could light up a room and a laugh that was always contagious. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and simply spending time with her family and friends. She loved it when the house was full of children running everywhere.

She graduated from the University of Puerto Rico with a degree in Education. Aura taught English and Spanish in elementary and middle school along with volunteering at Horace Mann Elementary in Redmond WA where her children attended. Aura lived in Redmond and Issaquah WA and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Kirkland WA before moving to Meridian Idaho where she resided the past 21 years until moving with her husband Robert to be close to their family in Goodyear AZ. She was a member of Ustick Baptist Church in Meridian Idaho, was active in the over 55 club and loved her church family.

She is survived by her husband Robert Anderson; daughters Diana Bostwick, Linda Marion; sons and their spouses Robert and Deborah, Michael and Kris, David and Sally, and Ronald Anderson; sisters Myrta Marshall, Edna Delfel, Sara and husband, Paul Rodier; brother Hector and wife, Sonia Ruiz; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents-Manuel and America Ruiz and sisters- Eneida Westfall and Aída Muñiz.  In honor of Aura Anderson, memorial donations can be sent to Ustick Baptist Church, 14301 W.
