Andrew Currie

Andrew “Drew” Richard Currie, age 25, of Litchfield Park, Arizona passed away on January 16th, 2014.  Andrew was born October 3, 1988 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona to Richard and Kristin Currie of Buckeye.  Andrew moved with his parents to Payson, Arizona in 1993 where he resided and went to school until 2002, when his family returned to Buckeye.  Andrew graduated from Buckeye Union High School in 2007 and continued his education through Estrella Mountain Community College where he was pursuing his CISCO networking certification.  He was working as a Low Voltage Networking Technician at the time of his death.  Andrew had a passion from firearms and loved to hunt, fish and ride dirt bikes.  He also loved building custom stereo systems.  Andrew would want you to know that he had a person relationship with his Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.  Drew is survived by his parents, Richard and Kristin Currie, sister Alyssa (Cole) McGuire, brothers Dillon and Chance Currie of Litchfield Park, Grandparents Milton and Janice Currie of Buckeye, Wayne (Alicia) Schweikart of Mesa and Suzanne Schweikart of Tucson, Uncles David, Dan and Doug (Linda) Currie, David Schweikart and Aunt Diane Currie, cousins Chris, Michael Zachary, Rhett (Kara), Wendy (Percy), and Tyrell (Elizabeth).  He leaves behind many other relatives and friends not mentioned here, but dearly loved by Drew.  His Uncle Kevin Schweikart of Tucson, Arizona preceded Drew in death.  A memorial service honoring Andrew is scheduled for Friday, January 31st at 1:00 p.m. at 1st Southern Baptist Church of Buckeye, Arizona, 405 North 3rd Street.  Andrew was loved by many family and friends and will be terribly missed, but we have hope because of Jesus Christ that we will one day see him again in eternity.  Condolences can be sent to www.thompsonfuneralchapel.com.
