Suzanne is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Eloise Russo.
She is survived by her husband, Butch Biggs; her children, Christopher Biggs, and Meredith Biggs; and her sisters, Joan Tomlin (Danny), and Genia Hines (Ron).
She was born in Chicago on February 26, 1948, but grew up in Donelson attending Holy Rosary Academy and Two Rivers High School. She graduated from MTSU and became a devoted teacher. Named the 1997 Metro Teacher of the Year, she touched the lives of many over the course of her career which was mostly spent at Hunters Lane High School. Getting her love of sports from her parents, she enjoyed watching games, especially women's collegiate and pro basketball. She played basketball in school, made the 1966 All-Metro team, and also coached at the start of her teaching career. After retiring she took up bowling and joined a team at St. Joseph Church.
Suzie was greatly loved by her family, pets, and friends. She showed her love for them by being a coach, Scout troop leader, math tutor, cook, and caretaker. She truly kept the family sewn together. Nothing gave her greater joy than spoiling the pets in the extended family.
