She was born on October 22, 1947 to the late Harold “Woodie” Joiner and Wilma “Missy” (Kerr) Joiner. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister Beverlee Welsh.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Ronald Jackson, Daughter; Ronda Jackson, Big Son; Tim Jackson, Son; Ronald Jackson II, Daughter; Monica Jackson, Sister; Shirlee Pisano and Brother; Frank Black.
Granddaughter; Brianna (Jackson) Black, Bri’s husband Travis Black, Grandson; Timothy Jackson Jr.
She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Sharon or Sheri, as she was known as in high school, was a graduate of Huntington Park High School in California where she was a member of the Pep Squad and multiple clubs. She met her husband in 1959 at the age of 12. After years of courting, her running, him chasing, daddy finally caught her and she married the Love of her Life on March 7, 1970. They settled in Riverside, California where she lived out her dream to be a wife and mom. They bought a house, made it a home, attended church and raised a family before moving to Tennessee in 2019 with their kids and grandkids.
Sharon was a devoted, loving wife, mom and friend. More than anything she was a extraordinary loving “Nana” and everyone who knew her knew Brianna and Timmy where her “Sunshine”.
Visitation will be held on Thursday October 21, 2021 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Goodlettsville, TN from 1:30pm-2:00pm with Funeral and Celebration of Life immediately following. For all who wish to attend the Celebration of Life will continue with dinner at the Jackson family home. There will be an additional Celebration of Life “Birthday” Friday October 22, 2021, 1pm-? at the Jackson Family home. Nana would have turned 74.
Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date with a private family ceremony.
A visitation/service for Sharon will be held Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072.
