Marilyn Joy Bankes

Born in Hemlock Grove, Ohio to the late Clyde and Mary (Stout) White, Marilyn is also preceded in death by her devoted husband of 50 years, Roger Bankes; her sister Evelyn White and brothers Edward and Earl White.

She is survived by her daughter Raquel Schmidt and her husband Eric; brother Marvin White and his wife Kathryn; sister-in-law Delores White; grandchildren Allen, Joseph, Rachel, Lindsay & David and great-grandchildren Spencer, Christopher, Aiden, Nicholas, Evan & Eleanor.

Marilyn is also survived by several beloved nieces, nephews, other extended family and dear friends.

Raised on a farm in rural Ohio, Marilyn loved to play with the little lambs born in the springtime each year, throughout her childhood. She retired as a secretary of a local public library after 30 years serving her community in Florida. She enjoyed making quilts and spending time with her cherished grandchildren.

Cremation was chosen and Inurnment at Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge, FL will be scheduled at a later date. Forest Lawn Funeral Home are honored to serve the family during this difficult time.
