Jewell Beatrice Lamberth Locke, of Hendersonville, age 90, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 10, 2020. She was preceded in death by her father, William Harrison Lamberth, mother, Eva Nell Rogers Lamberth, daughter, Deborah Kaye Locke, brother, Fred T. “Buck” Lamberth, and sister, Elizabeth Jane Smith.
She is survived by her daughter Julia Faye Gayle, brother Steve (Glenda) Lamberth, sisters Martha (Billy) Sloan, Linda (J C) Smith, Carolyn Lamberth, Betty Lou (Larry) Atkinson, numerous nieces and nephews, 5 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Jewell was born October 20, 1929 in the Portland, Tennessee area. She worked in the finance business for 44 years with the same company. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling and going on cruises, reading, playing with her dog, and watching Alabama football. Her feisty spirit will be sorely missed by all those that knew and loved her.
Visitation will be at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 1150 S. Dickerson Rd., in Goodlettsville, on Friday, February 14, from 4-8pm, and Saturday, February 15, from 10am to 12pm, with services following at 12pm.
