James Wilburn Wilkerson

Bud was born in Nashville, TN on August 21, 1941 to Robert Yancey Wilkerson and Evie Lee Jackson Wilkerson. Bud attended Bellevue High School and spent most of his career driving for UPS, logging over 3 million safe miles.

A proud Mason since 1975 and member of the Centre Star Lodge #409, Bud was made a Noble of the Mystic Shrine in Al Menah Temple in 1978 and a Moose Legionnaire in 2001. He loved baseball, fishing, hunting, food, and being with family and friends. Always up for a good meal or dance, he cherished the people and time spent at the Ashland City Senior Center.

After retiring from UPS, Bud volunteered his time driving sick children to Shriner’s hospitals for care.

Bud is survived by his son, Dana (Kelly) Wilkerson, daughter, Kelli (Michael) Olin; grandchildren Ross Wilkerson, Blake Olin, Ashley Olin; his sister, Jean Wright; his brother, Larry (Vicky) Wilkerson; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Bud was predeceased by his father and mother, Robert and Evie Wilkerson; siblings: Pauline W. Timbs, Ruth W. Sharp, Sue W. Garrison, Mary W. Jones, Robert Gray Wilkerson, William Allen Wilkerson; longtime girlfriend, Brenda Russell, who he mourned until his last day.

At this time, a private family burial is planned and a Masonic celebration of life will be held at a future date (TBD).
