He was preceded in death by his parents Voit and Wilma Peak, his- brother Billy Dean Peak and his great grandson Emmitt Candler Andrews.
James is survived by his lovely wife Yvonne Waldrep Peak.
Sons; Rick Peak (Donna), Steve Peak (Debi) and Dale Farmer. Grandchildren; Katherine Andrews (Matt), Barrett Peak (Brittni), Tereasa Mullican, Morgan Finn (Dustin), Matt Jenkins (Abbie), and Mitchell Peak.
Great Grandchildren; Afton Andrews, Sawyer and Sadie Peak, Nich Causey, Zach Collins, Hadden, Westyn and Peyton Finn.

James married the love of his life on May 11,1957. James and Yvonne were married for 60 years. He pack up the family and moved to Nashville Tennessee in February of 1960 to begin a career in the Bass Boat Building Industry. He worked 38 years in the development and building of boats. He retired as Department Manager of Research and Development at Triton Boats in 1998.
He love the great outdoors; hunting and fishing whenever he had the opportunity. His love for music and Jesus were evident in his many years of playing and singing with his family as well as his involvement with the music program at his church. He was a member of the Whites Creek Church of the Nazarene for 33 years and served on the church board and was a faithful member of the church band.
Visitation with the family will be held Saturday, February 3, 2017 from 5pm until 8pm and Sunday from 12pm until 2pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2pm Sunday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Oden, Bro.Bernie Deffinger and Bro. Randall Daldrep officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
