He was born to Dallas and Maggie Gregory on July 1, 1938.
He was preceded in death by his son Harold JR., his parents Dallas and Maggie Gregory, his sisters Ruth Flowers and Joy Miller, and his granddaughter Angie Elliott.
He will be truly missed by his loving wife of 54 years, Shirley Gregory; children Mike Arwood (Jim), Pam (Ron) Elliott, Brian Arwood (Bonnie), Dawn (Keith) Kranz and his grandchildren; Gregg (Jessie) Elliott, Michelle (David) Grizzle, Brain Arwood, Jennifer, Dallas Gregory (Jordan), Sara Gregory, Haley (Mike) Orred, Chandler (Tyler) Faith, Maegan Elzy, Brett Elzy and Jule Kranz. He also leaves behind 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild; brother Jack (Sharon) Gregory and a host of family and friends.
He was a true Vanderbilt Fan of more than 60 years. He enjoyed tailgating, traveling to games, and cheering for his team. He loved traveling with his best friend, Luke Wyatt. He also enjoyed spending time with family, being the life of the party, and always having a story to tell. One of his favorite sayings was, “Let me tell you one thing,” however, there was always more than one thing to tell. He enjoyed gardening, picking black berries, and telling everyone how to do things.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 4 from 4-8 pm and services will be Sunday, January 5 at 2p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN.
