Geraldine McLean Burton, age 106, of Nashville, Tennessee and resided in Carthage, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024. Geraldine was born Christmas Day, Tuesday, December 25, 1917 in Nashville, Tennessee. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Grace McLean; husband, Charles Burton; son, Robert (Bob) Burton; and her sisters, Maxine, Baby Geneva, Charlotte, Jeanette and Mary Lynn.
Gerry was a member of Chestnut Mound United Methodist Church; a bookkeeper for E. B. Smith Chevrolet and Candy Striper for Nashville Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed watching and feeding Hummingbirds, flower gardening and count cross-stitch.
Geraldine is survived by her daughter, Sue Burton Putman and husband, Mike; son Hugh Burton and wife Nancy; brother, Jim McLean; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather to remember Gerry at a visitation Monday, December 16, 2024 from 12:00 until 3:00 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 S. Dickerson Pike, Goodlettsville, Tennessee with a graveside service following at 3:00 in the Garden of The Last Supper at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
