Edna B. "Poppi" Pruitt - age 90, passed away Tuesday January 3, 2012. Born Monday January 31, 1921 in Carthage, TN; our beloved “Poppi” was a loving, nurturing wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.
She was a member of New Hope Road church of Christ and a retired school bus driver for Metro. She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond C. Pruitt and daughter Edna Faye Clegg.
One who enjoyed reading, flower gardening, cooking working crosswords and spending time with her family; Poppi is survived by her sons Tommie (Eleanor) Pruitt of Montgomery, AL; and Michael Pruitt of Nashville, TN; 6 grandchildren Eric Pruitt of Birmingham, AL; Craig Pruitt of Nashville, TN; Lailani Hopkins of Broken Arrow, OK; Lavinda Forrester of Sapulpa, OK; Thomas Clegg, III of Tulsa Ok; David Pruitt of FL and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday January 7, 2012 with visitation Friday January 6, 2012 from 4 until 8 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
