Carolyn J. Inkster, 81, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2015. She was born Tuesday, July 24, 1934 in Jackson, MS and is preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Inkster; parents, Ledrew and Lucille Lancaster Amason; sister, Mary Ann Lipscomb.
A very loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she attended Mississippi College; was a member of Hendersonville First Baptist Church and Sunday School teacher for toddlers; retired after 30 plus years with Sears.
Mrs. Inkster is survived by her children; Michael Inkster, Susan (Paul) Haines, Laura (Pete) Frederick; brother, Robert Amason; grandchildren, Jessica Berrier, Olivia Inkster, Meredith Guelbert, Jacqueline Banks, Stephanie Miller, Austin & Walker Frederick; great-grandchildren, Alexzandria Orr, Christopher Banks, Hudson Guelbert, Dylan Guelbert, Molly Berrier.
Family and friends will gather to remember Mrs. Inkster at a visitation Tuesday, December 8, 2015 from 12:00 until 2:00; a celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Dr. Bruce Chesser officiating.
The interment will be 12:30 Wednesday, December 9, 2015 in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
