Thanh "T.T." Nguyễn

Following an 18-month battle with cancer, Thanh “T.T.” Trọng Nguyễn of Prairieville, Louisiana passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at the age of 78. Thanh was born the youngest of four to Khiêm Văn Nguyễn and Yến Thị Nguyễn on November 13, 1944 in Lạng Sơn, Việt Nam. He was a proud veteran of the Vietnam Air Force and had an extraordinary career with Chevron Corporation, Inc. as a helicopter pilot until his retirement in 2011. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish, hunt, and cook for family and friends, especially on Thanksgiving, his favorite holiday. He also had a passion for dancing, tennis, pickleball, and Western movies. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Nguyệt “Theresa” Thị Du. He is also survived by his six children: Hà Thanh Nguyễn, Hải Nguyễn, Anthony Nguyễn, Tuan “Tony” Nguyễn with his wife Doris, Huyền “Heather” Nguyễn with her husband Hải, and Vu “David” Nguyễn as well as his two grandchildren, Timothy Nguyễn and Tiffany Nguyễn. He was preceded in death by his parents; two older sisters, Sen Thị Nguyễn & Hội Thị Nguyễn; and one older brother, Tôn Văn Nguyễn. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation service at St. Mark Catholic Church, 42021 Highway 621, Gonzales, LA 70737 on Friday, September 15, 2023. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Mass Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at 12:00 p.m. in Serenity Oak Memorial Cemetery, 15304 LA-73, Prairieville, LA 70769.
