She was not only a registered nurse by profession, but she was also a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend to many. Roberta absolutely adored all her of babies and would hold and rock every single one until they grew too big for her lap. She dearly loved and was intensely dedicated to serving her family and leaves behind quite the legacy of family members and friends alike mourning her absence. In life, she was a tough, fierce, determined, courageous, outgoing, kind woman who never let any tragedy she experienced keep her from enjoying life to the fullest. She especially enjoyed travelling to Europe & sampling all the delights food and wine had to offer. She found solace in planting and nurturing gardens of all varieties throughout her life, somethings she’s passed down to her children. Preparing all southern dishes for her family was something that brought her true joy. She had such a passion for helping others, that even before death, requested upon her passing her body be donated to medical science in the hopes of furthering surgical device research & development, advanced disease-based research, and hands-on bio skills training. Her hopes were this will increase the understanding of disease treatment options and improve patient outcomes for the future to come. Roberta was a woman who touched many lives over the course of hers but most especially her family. Death leaves a heartache nothing can heal; love leaves a memory no one can steal. People come into our lives and leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never the same. She will be deeply missed by all.
