Robert "Bob" J. Palmisano

Robert "Bob" J. Palmisano, age 81, of Prairieville, Louisiana and native of St. Rose, Louisiana passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 16, 1941 to the late Frank and Marie Palmisano. He was the devoted husband of 59 years to Rose Marie G. Palmisano. He is survived by his sons Robert J. Palmisano Jr. (Michelle Logrie Palmisano) and Richard J. Palmisano (Romy Botello), his grandchildren; Ryan J. Palmisano (Ashley Ory Palmisano), Lane M. Palmisano, Kate E. Palmisano and Jessica T. Palmisano and his sisters Audrey P. Giardina and Candie P. Viola.

Bob was always a hardworking man who did everything he could to provide his family with a wonderful life full of love and memories. He was a longtime employee of T.L. James Construction and a member of the New Orleans Carpenter Union. Bob and his wife Rose Marie spent many years traveling with both the Crescent City Corvette Club and his golfing buddies at the Riverlands Country Club. In his earlier years he had a passion for building dragsters and drag racing or just enjoying bowling or shooting pool. But most importantly in life was his time spent with family, they were the true reason for the smile on his face. He will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved him.

The family wishes to thank The Hospice of Baton Rouge, especially the nurses and aids. They also send out a warm thank you to Home Instead for all the time they spent caring for “Mr. Bob”.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 15208 Highway 73, Prairieville, Louisiana 70769 starting at 10:30AM. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:30AM. Interment will take place at a later date at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Cemetery in Destrehan, LA. There will be a reception to follow the Mass at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy. Gonzales, LA 70737.
