Robert Bob Dale Nickens

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mr. Robert Dale “Bob” Nickens at 10:00 am on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Amant, LA, with burial following in the church cemetery. Visitation for Bob will take place on Monday, December 19, at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, LA, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Tuesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church beginning at 9:00 am and continuing until Mass at 10:00 am. Bob passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2016 after a short battle with cancer. He was 67 years old. Bob was a resident of Prairieville and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He was a graduate of LSU and worked as an Industrial Construction Project Engineer, most recently at Rubicon LLC. While a student at LSU, he was a member of the Block and Bridle Club. He and his wife, Cynthia, were members of CCA and he was an avid outdoorsman. Above all, his greatest achievement was his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Bob leaves behind his wife of 45 years, Cynthia Wilson Nickens; daughter, Amy Nickens Clark and husband Randy; granddaughters, Abigail Mary Clark and Olivia Dale Clark; sisters, Linda Nickens Hymel and husband L.J., Alice Page, Susan Nickens Jordan and husband Richard, Terri Nickens Gerace and husband Johnny and sister-in-law, Louise Wilson Rauls and husband Harry.
