Our mom was one of kind. She met no strangers and had a vivacious sense of humor. The first thing that comes to mind when I think of her is how she was faithful through all adversities. She would pray herself through the good and bad times, pray her worries and concerns for her family and loved the Lord even when she didn’t feel worthy of His love. Phyllis Hood taught us, her daughters, about God and made sure she showed us how to build our own relationship with Him through her actions. God was the foundation upon which we stood throughout our life and we have our mother and our father to thank for those lessons. It is because of her faith that our faith grew and carried us through the good and bad times in our own lives. “With man this is impossible but with God all things are possible,” (Matthew 19:26).
