Millard Keith Harris

Millard “Keith” Harris, 67, of Gonzales, La., entered the gates of Heaven, peacefully, on Thursday, June 27th, 2024, surrounded by his family. Keith was born on September 21, 1956. He was co-owner of Burger Delight, where he dedicated most of his life, from 1971, until it’s closing in 2010. Keith enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He also like going to the Casino to play his favorite game “Texas Holdem.” His hobbies were fishing, watching his favorite sports, football and baseball and playing a good game of pool. He was a great care-giver to our mom, Gloria Harris, until her passing, in 2022. Keith is survived by his 2 brothers, Ronnie “Shack” Harris and wife Polly, Paul “Frank” Harris and sister Lisa Harris Gautreaux and husband Ronald; several aunts and uncles; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins that loved him and will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father, Millard Oliver “MO” Harris; mother, Gloria Pale “Glo” Harris; sister-n-law Sondra L. Harris; grandparents, O.W. “Geb” and Ethel Harris, Pete and Viola Braud. A celebration of his life will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales, La. on Tuesday, July 9, 2024. Visitation from 9 am-11 am, with a celebration service beginning at 11am. The family would like to give a special thank you to his Hospice nurse Adriana and the aides, for the dedication and special care they gave to our brother and uncle.
