“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7.A beloved husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law and friend to everyone he met, Mark Anthony Hebert passed from this life to meet Our Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at 3:10pm at The Carpenter House in Baton Rouge, Louisiana after a lengthy battle with cancer.He was 55 years old and a native of Houma, Louisiana and a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He enjoyed fishing, watching shows such as The Voice, Swamp People, Criminal Minds, Law and Order, spending time with family, but had a passion about helping others by sharing his experience, strength and hope.He is survived by the love of his life, Ramona Marchand Hebert; his five children and a daughter-in-law: Son: Corey Hebert and his wife, Christin of Broussard, Louisiana; Son: James Hebert and his wife, Cassie of Broussard, Louisiana; Daughter-in-law: Stacy G. Hebert of Broussard, Louisiana; Son: Troy Bourgeois and his wife, Shannon of Prairieville, Louisiana; Daughter: Dana Fontenot and her husband, Andrew of Maurepas, Louisiana; and Daughter: Connie Bourgeois of Prairieville, Louisiana; Sister: Melissa Rhodes and husband, Jimmy of Lafayette, Louisiana; Nephew: Dusty Russ of Point, Texas and his precious cat Tottie.His memory will live on in the lives of his 19 grandchildren: Alex, Bryson, Daxton, Evan, Heavan, Kaidyn, Jayce, Kalib, Bailey, Chris, Emily, Shelby, Brier, Lathan, Gracie, Reiden, Karl, Donovan, and Braddik.He is preceded in death by his parents, Service Paul Hebert Jr. and Shirley Babin Watkin; Son, T-Paul Hebert; Brother, Clark Russ, Grandparents, Ernest and Oliver Babin. Visitation will be Thursday, April 16, 2015 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Ourso Funeral Home location in Gonzales. Visitation will resume at Healing Place Church on Friday, April 17, 2015 from 9:00am until a service celebrating his life at 10:00am. His wishes were to be cremated.A special thanks to The Carpenter House, the Doctors and Staff of Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, Our Lady of the Lake Hospital, Cancer Services, and Amedisys, who gave wonderful care that allowed him to stay with us a little longer.
