Marguerite A. Johnson

Marguerite Johnson, a cherished native of Lake Charles and beloved resident of Prairieville, passed away on May 28th, 2024, at the age of 73. Marguerite's life was a testament to the beauty of the human spirit, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Marguerite's devotion to her family was unparalleled, and she found immense joy in their presence. Her adoration for her grandson, Asher, was evident in every moment they shared together, creating cherished memories that will be treasured for generations to come. Marguerite is survived by her loving husband, J. Johnson, her devoted daughter, Raquel Hymel, and son-in-law Logan Hymel, as well as her beloved grandson, Asher Hymel. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and compassion that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have been touched by her warmth and grace. Family and friends are warmly invited to pay their respects at the visitation, which will be held at St. John the Evangelist on Monday, June 3rd, from 9:30 am to 11:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow, with burial to take place at Hope Haven Garden of Memory. Marguerite's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and her memory will continue to bring comfort and solace in the days ahead.
