Louise “Tootie” Diez a native of Prairieville and resident of Gonzales died on December 31, 2021 at the age of 78. Tootie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed quilting, cooking and was known for her candy making. She was a graduate of Dutchtown High School. She owned and operated Diez Turf Farm, Nursery and Florist for 10 years. She later spent time working at Tupper Distributors and then for Mickey Latuso. She was preceded in death by her parents, Davis “Slo” Braud and Thelma Henry Braud; step-mother, Tippy Braud; father-in-law, Callie Diez Sr; mother-in-law, Maude Villar Diez; brother-in-law, Travis Phillips; and nephew, Mike Diez. She is survived by husband, Callie “T-Boy” Diez Jr.; sons, Dennis Diez, Dannie (Tonya) Diez, Jason (Susanne) Diez; grandchildren, Justin Diez, Kelby Diez, Slade Diez, Ireland Diez, Trey (Brandice) White, Mikele Farr, and Kendell Farr; great grandchildren, Sage Diez, Jennings Granade, Ryanna White, and Anthony White; sister, Delia Phillips; niece, Vania (Terry) Wallace; and brother-in-law, Joe (Jan) Diez. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation which will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy., Gonzales, LA on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 5PM-8PM. Visitation will resume at Meadows Chapel United Methodist Church on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 9AM until service time at 11AM. Committal service will follow at Hope Haven Prairieville Mausoleum.
