Linda K. Herring

Linda Sharon Kendrick Herring entered the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 24, 2023, at the age of 74 years old. She was born on November 7, 1948 in Baton Rouge, LA to loving parents Harold and Eleanor Davis Kendrick. She graduated from Istrouma High School and began her career as a dental assistant for 50+ years. She was an excellent cook who enjoyed cooking for family and friends, gardening and would have adopted every animal in the world if she could have. Linda dedicated her life to her family and will be remembered as a devoted wife, the very best mother a daughter could have ever dreamed of, and an adoring grandmother whose world revolved around her grandson. She was the epitome of selflessness and gave her unconditional love to many. She was happiest when she was in the presence of family and friends and was the first person to help in any way she could, without hesitation to anyone in need. She will forever be in the hearts of those who loved her and will be missed beyond measure. Linda is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Hugh Dawson Herring; daughter, Tanya Rachelle Herring; grandson, Cameron Christian Bird; sisters in law, Gloria Reyna and Faye Herring and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her daughter Michelle Renee Herring, her parents Harold and Eleanor Kendrick, and her sister Wanda Jones Patterson. Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Highway, Gonzales, LA, on Saturday April 29, 2023 from 10 am until funeral service at 12 pm conducted by Brother Mike Morris. Interment will follow at Serenity Oaks Memorial Park Hwy 73 Prairieville, LA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude or American Cancer Society in Linda’s name.
