Ginger Marchand, a native of Des Allemands and a resident of Acy, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013 in Baton Rouge. She was 61 and a retired florist. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Sunday, March 3, 2013 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting will resume at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Amant, on Monday, March 4, 2013 from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., conducted by Father Jon Koehler followed by burial in the church cemetery. Survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Bobby Marchand of Acy; daughter Cheri Marchand and fiancé Jeff Roule of New Orleans and grandson Aaron Henry of Prairieville; and son Bret Marchand and wife Johnice Henry Marchand and grandchildren Christopher Marchand and Victoria Marchand of Acy; brothers Doug McAdams and wife Patricia of Gonzales; and Ron McAdams of Gonzales. Preceded in death by son Barret Marchand; father and mother, Gordon and Alice McAdams; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Claude and Jestine Marchand; sister-in-law Janice McAdams. Pallbearers will be Aaron Henry, Charles Marchand, Jeff Roule, Conner Morris, Devin Broussard and Shane Lee. Honorary pallbearers are Christopher Marchand and James Summerford. A special thanks to Dr. Harold Helmke and the staff at the St. Joseph Hospice Carpenter House.
