George Francis Johnson, 69, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 26, 2023 surrounded by his loving wife and step-daughter. Jeff, as he liked to be called, was born on January 28, 1953 in Troy, New York. He was fortunate to have been adopted at birth by George and Betty Johnson of Troy, New
York. Jeff is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Angela, who in his final days never left his side. Jeff is also survived by his children Melissa Krumanocker (Zane), Mark Johnson, Molly Sheehan and stepchildren William (Shallie) and Courtney (Branson) Fassbender. Jeff was grandfather to Jude and Cameron Krumanocker, and Kai and Kayva Fassbender. Jeff is also survived by his sister Denise (Johnson) Polsinelli and her husband Frederico, nephews Frederico Jr. (Nicole), Michael (Sarah), Nicholas (Brooke), and his niece Alisha (Jeff) Betti. Jeff graduated from LaSalle Institute in Troy, NY and went on to attend Hudson
Valley Community College, Tri State College in Angola Indiana and Rochester Institute of Technology in Rocherster NY. Jeff worked as a Cost Analyst for Disaster Relief, a position that impacted communities at their most vulnerable times. No matter what it would take, Jeff would get the job done. Jeff was also an avid chef who enjoyed preparing delectable meals for his family and friends. This love of food was shared with his wife Angela. They would spend quality time together trying new recipes and creating culinary experiences. Jeff truly enjoyed his leisure time, swimming, cooking and bringing joy to all those around him.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Life on Friday, February 3, 2023 at Ourso Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a service beginning at 11:00 a.m.
