Ethel Mary Jarreau, 97, of Prairieville, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on November 13th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 4th, 1927, in Lakeland, Louisiana to Noelie Bizzette and Gaspard J. Lemoine Sr. and was married to Howard J. Jarreau Sr. for 37 years.
Ethel was a homemaker and loved taking care of her children and grandchildren. She also looked forward to her yearly birthday dinners with her family and watching soap operas.
She is survived by her son, Howard J. Jarreau Jr. (Debra), daughter Margaret Blanchard; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard J. Jarreau Sr.; daughter, Barbara Ann Cole (Mason Berryhill); parents; three brothers; three sisters and son in law, Kenneth Blanchard Sr.
A visitation for Ethel will be held Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Highway, Gonzales, LA 70737, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Interment to follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
