A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. Emma Lou Delaune passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021, at the age of 74 years old. Emma Lou was an owner of Delaune’s Do-It Center and a beloved member of the St. Amant, LA, community. She is survived by her daughters, Sheila D. Wilson (Barry), Melanie D. Nethken (Steven), and Sheryl D. Canter (Troy); son, Denny Delaune (Kami); sisters, Arlene Lambert (Roger) and Margie Campbell; brother, Jimmy Hohensee (Shirley); sister-in-law, Sheron Babin (George); brothers-in-law, James Garon and Morgan Dugas; 10 grandchildren, Beau Wilson (Lindsey), Addie Wilson, Kaid Delaune (Aissalynn), Dane Delaune (Hailey), Drue Delaune, Kass Delaune, Jordyn Manuel (Zachory), Camryn Nethken, Taylor Teer (Branson), and Peyton Canter; 6 great grandchildren, Arabella Crawford, Auron Delaune, Kyren Delaune, Joleigh Manuel, Brantley Teer, and Tristen “Behr” Teer; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Shelly Delaune; parents, Herman and Allie Hebert Hohensee; siblings, Herman Hohensee, John Hohensee, Carolyn Garon, Janice Elkins, and Allie Dugas; and father- and mother-in-law, Hubert and Helen Delaune. Visitation will be held Friday, July 9, 2021, from 9:00am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Amant, LA. Burial to follow in Holy Rosary Mausoleum.
