Devin Patrick Roussel

Devin Patrick Roussel, age 36, of Gonzales, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021. Devin was born to Patrick Louis Roussel and Peggy Koch Roussel on October 8, 1985. He is survived by his wife, Brooke Leigh Roussel, married September 29, 2012, his children Alexis Leigh Roussel, Abby Lynn Roussel, Raphael Patrick Roussel, two step children, Morgan Leigh Burgess, and Connor Paul Burgess, his sister Kayla (Roussel) and Ryan Thomason, along with their children, Devin's God child, Kamille Rosalise Jagneaux, and Bastian Gallagher Thomason, along with brother and sister in laws Amanda Metrejean Moreno, Nelson Metrejean Jr., Joanie Metrejean, Chad Metrejean, Shelbi Metrejean, Hunter Metrejean, and nephews and nieces he loved dearly.

Devin worked as a Process Operator for ExxonMobil and viewed his co workers as extended family. He was a LSU and Saints fan, and enjoyed attending games with friends and family. He spent time with his father cooking and learning the family recipes, hosting the family holiday gettogethers, and going on vacation with his wife and children.

Devin is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Carl and Fern (Braun) Koch, and paternal grandparents, Louis and Rita (Melancon) Roussel. Also preceded in death on his wife's side by his mother in law Diana Metrejean.

Visitation for Devin will be held Tuesday, November 9, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church, 224 W Constitution St., Gonzales, LA, a celebration of life service at 11:00, and an inurnment to follow at 11:30 AM.
