Darlene L. Landry

Darlene LeBlanc Landry, a native and resident of Gonzales, died on July 27, 2023 at the age of 75. Darlene worked many years of her life and was able to retire in 2017. She enjoyed going to movies, reading books and watching the LSU Tigers play football. She loved spending time with her family and friends, her generous heart was only a phone call away. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon LeBlanc and Edith Gautreau LeBlanc; sister, Nona Berteau; husband, Ronald Landry and the father of her children, Don Buyas. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Bobby and Leigh Buyas, Blane Buyas; her 3 grandchildren, Britney Buyas, Sydney Buyas and Brayden Buyas; her stepchildren, Suzanne (Kurt) LeCroix, Melissa (Joel) Nickel and Lauren (Eric) Dvorscak. The family would like to request a donation be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in lieu of flowers. The family would also like to thank Francois Bend, White Oak Acute Care and Bridgewater Healthcare for the care they provided Darlene during her illness. Family and Friends are invited to attend the visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Highway, Gonzales, LA 70737, on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 12:00-1:00 pm. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm with the burial to follow at Hope Haven Garden of Memory, 604 E Highway 30, Gonzales, LA 70737.
