Charles Samuel Chifici, known by many as “Chuck”, passed away on February 26, 2024 at the age of 84. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He is survived by his wife Milre Claire Matherne Chifici; his two sons Richard Charles Chifici (Wyndie Chifici) and Andrew Christopher Chifici (Cathy Elizabeth Chifici); his seven grandchildren Allison Martin (Matthew), Alexis Iervolino (Joseph), Seth Chifici, Nicolas Chifici, Kassidy Whiddon (Zach), Christopher Chifici and Maddie Perri and his two great-grandchildren Brayden Martin and Emma Claire Iervolino. He is also survived by his sister Mary Ann Whetstone and numerous family members. He is preceded in death by his parents Andrew Gasper Chifici and Willie Agnes Campesi Chifici and his two brothers Henry Chifici and Gasper “Junior” Chifici.
Chuck proudly served in the US Air Force as a young man. He went on to serve as a police officer with the New Orleans Police Department, from there he went to LSU for a few years and then landed on working in the oil and gas industry. He was one of the original employees of Marathon Oil. Chuck retired from the chemical plant after many decades of work. He always loved spending time with his family, it was his favorite pastime. He loved to joke and tease with everybody, a trait he passed on to his sons. His kind soul and witty jokes will surely be missed by all of those who knew and loved him.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Charles on Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 15208 Highway 73, Prairieville, Louisiana 70769, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM.
