A loving father and grandfather and resident of Gonzales, he passed away Sunday, May 2, 2010. He was 45 and a warehouse technician with Turner Industries at Rubicon. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Wednesday, May 5, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting will resume at the funeral home chapel on Thursday from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m. Survived by his ex-wife, Michelle Babin Anderson; parents, Laura Gomez and J.C. Babin; two sons, Jacob Michael Babin and Nicholas Lee Babin; three brothers, Jeffery Babin, Tracy Babin and Corey Babin; and granddaughter, Jacelyn Rochelle Babin. Preceded in death by his grandparents, S.J. and Dora Babin and Clabert and Hattie Boudreaux Gomez. Pallbearers will be his brothers and dear friends. Barry loved music and local bands and had a passion for rock 'n' roll. He was also an avid NASCAR, Saints and LSU fan.
