Lupe Alvarez, also lovingly known as Lupita or “Grandma Cookie,” was born on April 18th, 1933. Lupe passed on October 8, 2022 at the age of 89. Lupe worked as a talented beautician in Pasadena for many years after completing the Cosmetology program at Pasadena City College. She was a devoted wife to Frank or “Kiko” Alvarez for 56 years and a loving mother to four children: Viviano, Frank, Joe, and Sandra. She was also a beloved grandmother to 19 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. She loved the arts and had many interests that included painting, ceramics, sewing, and cooking. Lupe was a warmhearted, loving, gentle woman who devoted her life to serving her family and friends. She loved our Lord, Jesus Christ, and now she is finally home in Heaven where she continues to watch over her loved ones.
