Frances Schlegel

On Monday, November 8th 2021, Frances Schlegel passed away. Frances was born on November 21 1940 & was the devoted & loving wife of the late William J. Schlegel. She was the Daughter of the late Phillip & Anna Royes. She was the beloved younger sister to her late sister & brother-in-law, Rosemarie & Richard Urbanek. She is survived by her son John Schlegel & his longtime partner Stacy Schaefer. She was the beloved older sister to Elsie & her husband Lenny Cepale. Aunt to their 3 daughters- Leonora Drew , Jennifer & Mike Garro and Stephanie & Eric Struck and Great Aunt to their 5 children Jaclyn & Nicholas Drew, Ashley & Brianna Garro, Sydney Struck.

Frances was a graduate of Grover Cleveland High School Class of '58. She was an avid bowler & was always involved in church activities. She also enjoyed to travel. She will be missed very much by her family & loved ones.

A visitation for Frances will be held Sunday, November 14, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Werst & LaBella Funeral Home, 7141 Cooper Ave, Glendale, New York 11385. A committal service will occur Monday, November 15, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Pinelawn Memorial Park, 2030 Wellwood, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
