Sharon Gaye Ellerd, 53, of Scottsdale, passed away peacefully at home on August 2, 2013. She was born at Ft. Bragg, N.C. to Samuel and Beryl McMahan. After graduating from high school Sharon worked at Western Savings Bank, and her level headedness was an asset when she was a 911 dispatcher for the Rural Metro Fire Dept in Scottsdale. She was an outgoing person that didn’t know a stranger. Her smile and loving personality will be missed.
Sharon is survived by her parents, brothers Jerome and Alan, numerous friends, and her beloved cat Poe.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 8th at 6pm at Green Acres Glendale Mortuary, 5830 W. Missouri Ave.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humane Society.
