Ruth Ann Mitchell

Ruth was born to Mr. & Mrs. Donley and Beatrice Mitchell in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on June 25, 1952.

Ruthann graduated from Milwaukee Lutheran High School. In Milwaukee, she attended the University of Wisconsin, where she received her accounting degree. She resumed her studies at the University of Redlands where she acquired her Bachelors Degree, before attending the Phoenix College for Fine Arts. She had a long, amazing career working in Supply Management for McDonnell Douglas, and Boeing for over 30 years. Ruth was a proud member of the YMCA, KROC Center, and the American Horticulture Society where she proudly earned her Master Gardener Certification. She had a strong passion for the arts, she also enjoyed swimming, accounting, and traveling. Ruth loved to cook, she was a certified baking & pastry chef, and was the owner of Auntie Than Pie's. In 2009, she was recognized with an American Culinary Federation Washington State Chef Association award.

Ruth, fondly known as Auntie Than, was survived by her children Jonis & Monica, Alex & Shannon, and Ikenna & Danyelle. Her grandchildren Courtney, Avery, Nathan, Jaida, Elijah, Sydney, Desiraye, Dylen, and Patrick. And her siblings Marilyn, Carol, Elaine, and Gail.

A Celebration of Life for Ruth will be held in Southern California, at a later date and time.
