Richard Lee Barido, aged 76, passed away on October 26, 2024, in Glendale, AZ. Born on January 8, 1948, Richard dedicated years of service to his country as a proud member of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era, embodying the values of duty and courage.
A devout Christian and an immensely creative soul, Richard expressed his artistic flair through various mediums. He was passionate about collecting items ranging from coins to model cars, and he also excelled in etching glass, drawing, and woodworking, leaving behind many beautiful pieces that reflected his meticulous attention to detail.
Richard is survived by a loving family, including his son, Richard Lee Barido, Jr.; daughter, Tammy Lynn Cook; grandchildren, Arrik and Emily Mouser; and sisters, Shelah Malapanes, Judy Baze, and Deborah Blomme, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins, with whom he shared many memories.
A service to honor Richard's life and legacy will be held at 11am on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, located at 2929 E. Pinnacle Peak Road, Phoenix, AZ. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Richard's memory can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, supporting other veterans who have served their country with valor.
