Paul Martinez, 79, passed away peacefully in his home on January 16, 2024. He was born on May 27,1944 in Sinton, Texas. He grew up surrounded by his siblings, Mary, John, Tony, Gilbert, Roy, Rudy, Lupe, Margie, Lilly, Angie, Rosie, and aunts and uncles Juan, Augustine, Alejandro, Domingo, Librado, Santos, Cruz, Meme, Carolina, and Lupe and many cousins. He moved to El Mirage, Arizona when he was a small child. This is where he met his wife Cheryl of 53 years and together had three children, Christy, Keith, and Adam, and one granddaughter Eloisa. He leaves behind many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by many loved ones to include his mother and father Paula and Paul and his mother and father-in-law Bernice and Keith and two brothers baby Angel and Roy. Paul retired from the City of Peoria where he had many work friends and was active in AFSCME Local 3282 as a Trustee and member of the Executive Board. He loved the Lord and was known by many as a man with a servant’s heart. His passions were working in his yard, flying model airplanes, fishing, and researching any subject he could think of on his iPhone.
