Micaela (Mickie) Gonzales Celaya, a beloved, thoughtful, and kind-hearted woman, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2024, just one day before her 78th birthday. At the time of passing, she was surrounded by her immediate family and the day before she was surrounded by many friends and family members.
Born on November 21, 1946, Mickie was a faithful individual who lived a life full of unconditional love, joy, and dedication to her family, friends, and God. She was a resident of Goodyear, Arizona.
Mickie retired as a teacher aide and will be remembered for her caring and nurturing demeanor towards her students. She engaged in meaningful work through the Job Corps where she was able to travel and create meaningful relationships. Her career and life were marked by her strong faith, grounded in Christianity, her good sense of humor, and her love and kindness towards everyone she came in to contact with. She was known for her strong faith, gratitude, and kindness and she was loved by all who knew her.
Mickie was celebrated for her 52 years of marriage to Ralph and is survived by her son, John Celaya (Evangeline, daughter-in-law); her granddaughters, Cierra and Alysha Celaya; and her great-granddaughter, Amelia Celaya. She cherished spending time with her family and friends- traveling and vacations to California, shopping and going out to eat, and creating a loving and warm home.
Her presence brought joy and warmth to many, and she will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Mickie’s legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire those who knew her.
