Michael Valdez

Michael Valdez,51, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on Wed. October 12, 2011 of natural causes from diabetes. His gregarious personality was catching, never a stranger he met. He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Kathryn Ann Valdez, his mother, Barbara Valdez, father, Raul Valdez, Grandmother Pilar Valdez, Godmother/Mother-in-law Mary Barkac, Uncles Richard Valdez, Eddie Valdez, Victor Valdez, Frank Valdez and his Aunt Betty Lorette and their extended families and a host of cousins. Michael was a Union cement mason by trade; graduated from Cortez High 1978; was a life long distance runner, running for Cortez High and GCC. Funeral services will be held on Mon. Oct.17, 2011 at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Ave., Glendale, AZ 85301 at 1:30 p.m. Family luncheon and celebration of his life will follow at 1432 W. Maryland Ave., Phx, AZ 85013, parking at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church.
