Pete was a Vietnam Veteran and fighter pilot serving with the United States Air Force for 20 years.
On July 28, 1985, he married Betty Jane Smith. They shared over 37 years of marriage prior to her passing on September 4, 2022.
Pete is survived by three sons Patrick (Susan), Christopher “Bear” (Jana) & Michael, five grandchildren Kierstin, Noah, Tyler, Aubrey & Austin, two great-grandchildren Brenham & Chandler and his six siblings Mike, Elda, Patsy, Ruby, Stan, and Wendy.
In addition to his parents and wife, a stepson, David Smith, preceded him in death.
Family and friends are invited to a funeral service on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 12 PM at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale. Burial with military honors will follow in Resthaven Park Cemetery concluding with a reception starting at 1:30 PM in the funeral home.
