Judith A. “Judee” Moreno passed peacefully away into Glory on January 1, 2019. She was born on October 22, 1935 in the year of our Lord, in Darby, PA. Judee loved life, had a hearty laugh and cared deeply about the needs of others. Her greatest legacy is that she loved Jesus and demonstrated His servant’s heart to anyone she met.
Judee raised her children in the Phoenix area and enjoyed a career with Motorola, Amway and Horizon High School (aka Judith Smithbaker) for many years before she met and married Ernie Moreno in April of 1989. They were the owners and operators of Ernie’s Auto Body Shop in Phoenix before retiring in Dewey, AZ. Ernie proceeded Judee on April 23, 2016.
Judee loved being a mom and was her children’s most devoted cheerleader. She is survived by her two children Kym (Rich) Mann, John (Tracey) Smithbaker and was step-mom to Scott Wolver. A sister Gay Ward and her children along with, brother Bucky (Neva) Singleton and their children.
Judee has six grandchildren RJ, Anna, Emily, Madeline, Spencer, Meredith and four great grandchildren Riley, Cohen, Mila and Hazel Jae. In addition to numerous other extended family and friends.
A graveside celebration of Judee’s life, her love for Jesus and her journey home to Heaven will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 11:30am, Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6450 W Northern Avenue, Glendale; her gravesite is located on the South side of the cemetery.
