Our beloved Joe Barron Avitia a devoted Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather was called home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 1, 2023, after a short but valiant fight with cancer. He was born on November 24, 1954 in Durango, Mexico to the late Juan Barron and Maria Engracia Avitia. Joe was one of eleven children, the fifth born.
Joe was incredibly generous and intentional with his time, always helping others and encouraging his friends and family with positivity. He was a man who wore many hats, a true artist, a jack of all trades and most of all he was a safe space and a comfort to anyone who needed refuge from life's hardships.
Joe is survived by five children; Lisa Barron, Joe “Junior” Barron, Lina (Rachel) Dean, Valerie (Angel) Singh & Michael (Jules) Barron, seven grandchildren Mia Brugueras, Isaac Brugueras, Jonathon Barron, Josiah Barron. Benjamin Barron, Alayna Singh & Arielle Barron, two great grandchildren Avery Brugueras & David Barron. Joe is also survived by two sisters, Edith and Leticia Barron.
In addition to his parents, his son David Barron and eight siblings Gilberto, Manuel, David, Alfredo, Juan, Rosa, Martha & Raul preceded Joe in death.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Friday, September 22, 2023, from 8-9 AM at West Resthaven Funeral Home 6450 W Northern Avenue, Glendale AZ, with services beginning at 9AM. Burial will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery.
