On February 7, 2022, our family lost our dear Jerry, as he was called home to be with his Lord and Savior. Jerry is survived by his wife of 44 years, Marty, his two precious daughters, Adrienne (Adam) Stephenson and Alyssa ( Paul) Miranda along with his grandchildren whom he loved dearly: Paul Miranda (7 years) and Cameron Miranda (5 years). He is also survived by his older brother James (Linda) Marlow and his younger sister, Marianne Copp. His beloved in-laws included his dear Nana Montoya, his sister-in-laws Margaret Ramirez, and husband, Art “Comps” Ramirez as well as Michelle Ramirez and her husband Manny “Comps” Ramirez. He is also survived by his beloved aunts, uncles and cousins in Kentucky.
Jerry (JD to all of us) was preceded in death by his father Charles, his mother Sylvia and his two sisters, Debra Copp and Judy Marlow. Also preceded were his father-in-law Pete Montoya Sr. and and his brother-in-law, Pete Montoya Jr.
Jerry was employed by the US Postal Service for 27 years and was a die hard Dallas Cowboy and ASU fan. JD acquired dozens of friends from every walk of life through the years, both personal and professional. His friendship and soft smile were offered to all he met and his friendship was cherished by all. He loved his pup Trixie, despite her stealing his snacks and always wanting to be rubbed. He spent his free time with his wife and daughters going on vacations, shopping (more for them than himself) and cooking. But his favorite thing to do was to make them laugh and he would always lecture all three of them on either the proper way to save or drive.
Know that he is smiling down with his arms wrapped around each of you knowing he will meet you again.
We invite you to please sign his digital memory book.
