Flo-Ann Lynn Campbell (Oberhaus) passed away on June 13th, 2021, she was 74 years young. She was born April 7, 1947, in Cumberland, MD., and moved to Phoenix, AZ., with her family when she was four years old. Flo-Ann graduated from Cortez High School and went on to earn a Bachelor’s in Science and Master’s degree in Education from ASU. She was a proud student, Life Member of the Alumni Association and avid Sun Devils fan and has had their football tickets for over 50 years and rarely missed a home game. She was a beloved Teacher of 6th, 7th, 8th grades for 30 years throughout the Washington Elementary School District and then continued as a substitute teacher after semi-retirement for 13 years. In 1984 while still Teaching she opened Lion’s Mane a school support program for children ages 4-11 until her retirement in 2011. Through her retirement years she has loved running into her now adult students who have fond memories of Mrs. Barwick and/or Mrs. Campbell, as a teacher.
Flo-Ann had a love for Fine Arts and became a Docent for the Phoenix Art Museum in 1998, she became Docent of the year in 2003-2004 and was the Docent Training Chairman from 2005-2007. She was a Master Docent as one of her many name tags and Titles over the years state that she so proudly still has. She would give talks on Norman Rockwell which were amongst the favorites at the senior centers she would visit when representing the P.A.M. Flo-Ann was loved and highly respected in the Docent program with 23 years of dedication that gave her such joy in her retirement years.
Flo-Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ray Campbell Jr.; her parents; Paul and Violet A. Oberhaus; and brother in-law Jim Ross.
She is survived by her brothers Paul J. (Obie) Oberhaus (Sally); James J.J. (Jim) Oberhaus; sister Dana Dee Ross (Jim); sons and daughter from her first marriage; Kenneth L. Barwick Jr, (Tara); Brent T. Barwick (Mindy); Brooke S. Barwick; and sons Ian (Tim) Campbell; and Brian T. Campbell (Kira); grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.
In lieu of flowers we ask all donations go to the Phoenix Art Museum in Flo-Ann’s honor please make checks payable to Kenneth L Barwick Jr. (address below) as they would like only one check presented. The museum will mail out receipts to all donators on Flo-Ann’s behalf.

We are Celebrating Flo-Ann’s Life on Saturday, July 17th. At the home of her eldest son and daughter in law Kenny and Tara Barwick. It will be a fully catered event just as she would want it with her favorite food from Mi Familia and a full-service bar, pool will be open as this will be a relaxed day to “Celebrate the Life of Flo-Ann” it will be an all-day and into the evening to permit for everyone’s schedule.
There will be a service for Flo-Ann at Chapel of the Chimes, in Glendale at 11am that morning, family and close friends will be officiating and speaking, and everyone is welcome. We ask that anyone who would like to come and share your stories to please do so at the COL immediately following the services.
