Everett E. Miller entered the gates of heaven on November 13, 2020 at the home of his daughter-in-law, Rachel Miller, in Show Low Arizona. He was born on October 17, 1919 near Palmer, IA to Perry and Dell (Adella) Miller. On July 6, 1941 he married Delores (Onnen) Miller, and they were married seventy-two years before she passed in 2014. Everett was also preceded in death by his parents, five siblings, and a son, Lowell. He is survived by seven children, Dennis (Marian) Miller of Sun City, AZ, Charlotte Egli of Sarasota, FL, Duane (Vickie Kaufman) Miller of Manson, IA, Sharon (David) Freed of Manson, IA, Janet (John) Elliott of Goshen, IN, Michael (Deb) Miller of Isanti, MN, and Neal (Madonna) Miller of Manson, IA, along with daughter-in-law, Rachel Miller of Show Low, AZ. He was blessed with twenty grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
After many years of farming near Manson, IA, Everett and Delores made their home in Sun City, AZ for seventeen years and then moved to Glencroft Center in Glendale, AZ. Six months ago Everett moved to Show Low, and he enjoyed being in the country once again.
Everett was known, respected and cherished for his generous spirit, wit, wisdom, optimism, steadfast faith and unconditional love. He was a leader in his farming community of Manson, IA, serving on agriculture boards and in his church. He played the harmonica and began playing the accordion at 72 years of age. He was an avid reader, could fix anything, and was a master at playing Cribbage. He lived his 101 years to the fullest and he will be greatly missed by his loving family.
West Resthaven Funeral Home, Glendale, AZ, is in charge of the private funeral arrangements. In light of COVID, there will be no public service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heifer International at heifer.org.
